Anfi Beach

If you come on holiday to Gran Canaria you will probably encounter some timeshare touts at some point (or every day!) asking if you have seen Anfi beach or Anfi del Mar yet. You can see more about timeshare here.

How to Get There

Anfi is a timeshare complex between Puerto Rico and Arguineguín which is well worth a visit. Anfi beach is a public beach and you don’t need to be staying at the resort to use it.

You can get a ferry to Anfi del Mar from Puerto Base harbour in Puerto Rico or a taxi from Puerto Rico or Arguineguín for 5 euros or so. If you are staying in Playa del Inglés you need to get the number 1 or 91 bus.

The island at Anfi is built in the shape of a heart and the beach has white Carribean sand and turquoise sea. It is a beautiful place to spend a day but try to avoid the weekends when all the Canarians come down from Las Palmas  because it gets very crowded.

What is There to Do?

There is a marina there, some shops and dolphin trips, jetskis and pleasure boats. The boat trips are cheaper from Puerto Escala in Puerto Rico because Anfi is very upmarket.
