Good Friday falls on April 2nd next year. Most Canarians are Catholic so they celebrate Easter. There are processions in the street during Holy Week (the week before Easter) and you will see Canarians carrying religious statues in these processions.
Easter in Gran Canaria can be a busy time and the weather in Gran Canaria at Easter is normally good too. If you are coming over with kids, bring Easter eggs from home because they are hard to find in the Canaries!
