Where is it?

Located in the “Valley of a Thousand Palms” it is surrounded by palm trees, fruit trees and cliffs. You can get there by bus or with a hire car in about 20 minutes from Playa del Inglés.

This is an interesting mountain village with a beautiful church and quaint rural houses. It is nearly 2000 feet above sea level.

Things to Do in Fataga

There is a Canarian craft shop in Fataga selling things like sea shells, pottery, tablecloths, wickerwork and shawls.

There are also two restaurants so you can sample some Canarian cooking and Canarian wines from the area. There is also a bakery, a mill and a small school. There used to be an art gallery but it closed down.

Nearby Reservoirs

There are two reservoirs near Fataga – Las Niñas and Soria – and you can visit them for the scenic views. You can fish there for bass and carp too. It is also possible do a camel ride in Barranco de Fataga if you are feeling brave!
