The Maspalomas Carnival, also spelt Maspalomas Carnaval (in Spanish!), is set to take place from 11th to 21st March 2010 and it has a Eurovision Song Contest theme this year. The carnival features singing, dancing, competitions and parades.

Dunes and Tunes Bar in Maspalomas

There are lots of bars along the promenade in Maspalomas but Dunes and Tunes stands out because it’s always lively, busy and there is live music on in the evenings.

If you are going to be in Gran Canaria between 12 and 22 March, you will be in time to see the Carnaval Internacional Maspalomas 2009! You can see the program here and most of the Carnaval events will be in the Yumbo Centre in Playa del Inglés.
