Aer Lingus is now offering flights between Cork and Gran Canaria. The new service runs every Sunday and flights depart Cork at 7am. This route is operational until April 2012. The flights are 4 hours and 10 minutes, and non-stop.

If Cork airport is the closest one to you then this makes it really handy, else you would have to make your way to Dublin or another airport in Ireland. The flight departs at 7am so you have to check in at the crack of dawn but at least that means you can arrive before lunchtime in the Canaries 8)
