Irish Bars in Puerto Rico Gran Canaria

If you are staying in Playa del Ingles you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to bars, since that is the home of The Irish Centre, which is FULL of them! But what about if you are in Puerto Rico?

Well there are a few nice Irish bars there to choose from as well. You might like to visit The Blarney Stone if you are staying near the Europa Centre. This one is on the middle floor. In the main shopping centre, there are Molly Malones, The Harp, The Shamrock and Dicey Reillys. A lot of these do Irish breakfasts and meals as well as just the evening entertainment and if you like listening to live Irish music you won’t be disappointed. Flanagan’s Apple is behind Puerto Base harbour and that’s a nice Irish bar as well.

Sometimes it is good just to wander around and head into any appealing or lively-looking bar but it is also nice to have a general idea of where these places are so you can head to the right area. Irish pubs are never boring and if you are looking for Irish pubs in Gran Canaria there are lots to choose from!

I’m pretty sure there isn’t and I can’t find anything on Google either. The Arehucas rum distillation plant in Arucas is worth a visit though if you also enjoy rum – http://www.arehucas.es/ You could also visit this vineyard: http://www.bodegasbentayga.com in Tejeda.

These are the restaurants there: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurants-g562819-Playa_del_Ingles_Gran_Canaria_Canary_Islands.html and I would recommend Sakura (the Japanese restaurant) which is really good. GC isn’t really a gourmet’s paradise though, although you can always order “el menu” at lunchtime in a Canarian restaurant to get the local-type food.
